Obituary of William F. Hayes V

WATERVLIET – William F. Hayes V (Delamater), 55, of Watervliet, entered into rest on December 16, 2022, following a long illness. The son of Donald W. and Marygrace (Sciacco) Delamater, William was born on October 15, 1967, in Troy, New York. He was raised in Watervliet and was a lifelong resident. Bill graduated from Watervliet High School, class of 1986. Following high school, Bill enlisted in the US Navy where he served from 1986 until 1989. He was formerly employed by Samaritan Hospital as their boiler room maintenance manager for 15 years up until his illness. Bill will be warmly remembered for his love of snowboarding, camping, and rebuilding computers. But most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family especially his brothers and sisters, great niece, and nephews. He was a devoted uncle and a friend to all who will be sorely missed.
