I graduated grammar school with Mike and was a close friend until we both left the neighborhood.
Always the entrepreneur, when he had his sausage stand in St Anthony's Feast he subletted it to me and my friend Richie for a percent of the profit. Of course, we were not business minded like Mike so there was no profit.
As a matter of fact, I remember even when we were very young he had dreams of making it big.
Growing up in our neighborhood the love we had for each can not be explained. We were. one big happy family.
Rest in peace Mikey. I love you and even though I haven't seen you in so many years, I will miss you and all the fun memories that we shared.

R.I.P. Michael, although we never met in person, you've been a phenomenal and trusted friend over the years, helping me with everything from financial problems, my own health issues, as well as how to navigate the health care system when you're getting screwed royally, and I'm not forgetting all the great recipes and cooking tips you gave me.
I Loved our long phone calls after I finally convinced you I did actually grow up in the neighborhood. I went to Saint Anthony's with your brother Alfred, but there's not been another person whom I had almost met, that had dropped everything to befriend me and go out of their way for me ... At least when you weren't calling me names!
You're a real though guy Mikey Urgo ... Secretly, you have the heart of a pussycat. You loved kids and in your adopted home of Albany, your charity and giving to the community was well known. In words that you can truly understand, you are one helluva stand up guy and I was happy to experience your loyalty as a friend. Luv ya Mike. There's a new Angel peering down from the heavens and he's a real though guy.

Mikey was older then me but was friends with my sister Toni, but I knew him very well. He was like a protector in the neighborhood, I lived right next door to the château club so I always knew someone would be there watching us going home late at night!! Mikey so sorry that you’re gone but you will never be forgotten!! RIP my friend!!

Mike and I became friends on Facebook. I always knew of him because I hung around with his cousin Danny. We spent hours on the phone talking about the neighborhood and lots of other things, even God. Mike sometimes called me his pastor. We prayed for some of his ailments. My wife Jackie and I visited with him and Toni when we were upstate at a friend's wedding. We had a great meal together. We grew to love each other. I spoke to Mike the day before he passed and he told me he was happy to have gotten to know us. We are also grateful to have known him.
