I will never forget the support you gave me, the endless study groups, all the laughs, and the tears but we did it, we became Nurse Missy and Nurse Donna! I feel so blessed that I had you in my life throughout the nursing journey.

As cousins and neighbors growing up we spent a lot of time together. Donna was a year older than me so I was always playing catch up, trying to emulate her many achievements, but never quite succeeding. Ballet lessons ( she won a scholarship after two years of classes), studying French ( she was president of the French Club) and making high honors in high school. We both married young ( to the wrong partners) and got divorced. We both managed to find good partners to spend the rest of our lives with, and managed to achieve our higher education goals, but she was the only one of us to finally find her calling as a hospice nurse. I am certain that her many patients are grateful for that achievement.
