Obituary of Nathan N. Natale

LOUDONVILLE – On October 30, 2022, the world lost a courageous, intelligent, generous, kind, and caring young man, Nathan Natale. He excelled academically at St. Mary’s in Waterford, Doane Stuart, Southgate Elementary, Shaker Junior and Senior High Schools, and Siena College. Despite developing serious, life threatening, health issues at the age of 15, Nathan persevered. He was active in several clubs, participated in every play and musical, received awards in every subject, and was a class officer. Nathan was more than his health issues or his scholarly achievements. He was a son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his little sister Noelle. They went on sibling vacations to Philadelphia, PA and close by destinations, where they spent their time at museums and zoos. Nathan loved animals and enjoyed seeing all the animals at the Saratoga County Fair which he attended with his mother every year since his birth. When he could, he donated to the World Wildlife Fund. He loved watching Sci-Fi and action movies, especially Star Wars and Marvel, which he watched with his family during family movie nights. He loved sightseeing and going out to eat in big cities. He enjoyed touring museums, zoos, and aquariums. He loved to be with groups of friends and attend family gatherings. Nathan was an avid sports fan, who loved football, and played NBA 2k and FIFA in his free time. He was fond of videogames, an interest that began in childhood with his Gameboy and Wii. Nathan loved music and dancing. Nathan’s gentle kindness and fierce loyalty was often misunderstood, except by those closest to him. With his infectious smile, big green eyes, and curly brown hair, Nathan was always accepting and welcoming of everyone. He loved and cared deeply for others and animals. He had a kind natured soul that will be missed unmeasurably. This unbearable loss is being shared by his sister Noelle Natale and his parents Nancy (Francis) and Nick Natale. Grief is also shared by his grandmother Lucia Natale (Apopka, FL), his uncles Roger Francis (Modesto, CA), John (Dorothy) Francis (PA), Gary (Tracy) Francis (Rensselaer, NY), Robert Francis (Guilderland, NY), Raymond (Maryann) Francis (Poestenkill, NY), Giovanni (Linda) Natale (Summerville, SC), Michael (Angela) Natale (Rexford, NY), aunt Rose (Randy) Natale-Sargent (Apopka, FL), and numerous relatives of the Barbato, Francis, Iannucci, Natale, Ryan, Simeone, and Tirino families. Nathan joins his younger brother Noah. He is predeceased by paternal grandfather Carmine Natale, maternal grandparents Helen and Robert Francis, and maternal uncles David, Ronald, and James Francis. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204 (Nathan loved animals both domestic and wild) or Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York, 3 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205(Nathan was a Make-A-Wish child and loved his trip to San Diego, CA). “We express our sincere gratitude to the many nurses and doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital who cared for and supported Nathan and us over the past 15 years”. Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with Nathan’s family from 4-7PM on Friday, November 4th in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, NY 12211. Nathan’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 o’clock Saturday November 5th in St. Pius X Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to: Simple Choices, Inc.
