Obituary of Ronald L. Scott

ALBANY – Mr. Ronald L Scott, 81, of Albany, NY passed away on October 13, 2022, without pain or long illness, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Xenia, Ohio on September 30th, 1941. He was a graduate of Xenia East High School in 1957, and Central State University in Wilberforce, OH in 1973. Ron served in the US Army and Army national guard, obtaining the rank of Captain. He was an on-air radio personality in the 1970’s Ohio market at WCSU, WCIN, and WDAO. He served the Albany community at Living Word Bible Ministries as a deacon, and a long-standing active member of the Albany Housing Tenant Association and the Albany County Democratic Committee. He is welcomed in heaven by his mother and father, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence W Scott, his brother Edgar Scott, sister Joanne (Scott) Phoenix, and daughter Kimberly Jo, all of Xenia, Oh. He will be sincerely missed by his children Kevin Brady of Miami FL, Adrienne Scott of Albany, NY, Renee Scott of New York, NY, and Monique “Nikki” Williams of Springfield, Ohio. In addition to his immediate family, and former wife Diana (Austin) Scott of Albuquerque, NM, he was blessed with love from brothers, sisters, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and community members. Ron’s family is thankful for the many prayers, calls of comfort, messages, and warm thoughts of condolence. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
