Jason was a supportive and kind presence in the tiktok art community. As an artist it's one thing to be skilled- it's another to really spend the time to help motivate, encourage, and offer help to other artists. He was both. He will be deeply missed.

I didn't Jason well, but we shared many friends and hung around the same crowd. He was always gentle, quiet and insanely talented. I have missed him and wondered how he was, until another friend told me of his passing,. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good guy and always asked how we were before we had a chance to ask him how he was. Not knowing of this sooner, has made us all think about keeping everyone informed as to how we're doing and making sure there is someone to let the group of us know if something is wrong.
Thank you for "lending" him to us, even if it was for a short time.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Kim

I had the pleasure of meeting Jason through Tiktok. He and I quickly became friends and would often be on Live painting together and talking about anything and everything. He was a very kind soul and welcoming to all the other people that would join us. I will miss him and his company dearly. Rest easy friend

Jason was known to me as vampirate art or Jaybird, he had a great following of artists on social media that he support and shared his beautiful work of art with. We could count on him hanging out in fellow artists lives with kindness and support quite often. His missing presence is felt in the artist community, and we all send love and support to his family and friends. RIP Jason~ Mia and the TT art family.

Our friendship began in 1993.Jason and I went to highschool together, and our friendship began when he started dating my best friend and then I began dating his.we spent lots of time together. Sleepovers at my house and Maurice’s, hill parties, skate parks, joy riding and bluegrass festivals. We shared a lot of firsts together… some good and some not so much. even after our relationships ended and new ones developed we remained important friends with each other. He went away to college but when he visited family we always got together.he was my male best friend .when Jason moved to California we did loose contact. I was overjoyed to get back in touch when he moved back to the area. Jason was a kind and caring friend. He was a supportive friend when my brother died and shared in my grief. Although I didn’t get to physically see him recently ,we made the point to check in with each other.
I thought we had more time .
Jason I love you , I always have and I always will .

I am so very sorry for your loss. Jason was a kind, gentle, and talented person. We volunteered together at Whiskers where his patient and compassionate nature helped our timid cats start to trust people. I will greatly miss him. Your family is in my thoughts at this sad time.

I'm very sad to hear about Jason's passing. He was a good person who obviously cared a lot about the cats at Whiskers. I had a chance to see his paintings and saw he was very talented. I will miss our conversations and his calming presence. My sincerest condolences to his family during this difficult time.

My condolences to Jason's family and friends. He will be missed, especially by me. He was taken from us way too soon. I won't be able to find another friend like him. He was one of a kind.

I was so sad to hear of Jason’s passing. We volunteered together at the shelter on Tuesday’s. I will always remember him as a quiet, kind, reliable, and helpful person. We had many great conversations about art, music, and of course cats. My latest shift at the shelter was just not the same without his help. He was a wonderful human being and will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I was so sad to hear of Jason's passing. I would see him at the shelter and his love for the cats was evident. He would quietly sit after his shift work was done and play with the cats, or sit with one in his lap. The cats were drawn to him, likely because of his calm, gentle nature. He was a tremendous asset to Whiskers and will be missed greatly.

My sincerest condolences to Jason’s family. I remember Jason best from when we were teenagers and if I can share some memories it would be of dozens of little things and impressions. We shared a love for art early on and I loved seeing what he would come up with. I remember Jason as a quiet person who was lovable and easy to talk to. I trusted him. We spent time together after school. I would visit after art tutoring a neighbor and his mother, Michele, made us the first tabbouleh I ever had. I remember Jason with his skateboard and skateboard tricks, rectangular glasses, baggy clothes, and a well worn raccoon stuffed animal. I remember him talking about his little brother Bill.
We lost touch for a while, but I was happy when he started reaching out again over the years. He inspired me to start drawing after a long break when he sent pictures of his more recent art and encouraged me to send pictures of my art too.
Again, my sincerest condolences for a loss way too early. I hope your memories of Jason bring you comfort in this time. And Jason, may you rest easy now and always.
