Obituary of Betty Lynne McCawley

CATSKILL- Betty Lynne McCawley, 95, of Catskill, New York, formerly of Dayton, Texas, entered into rest on August 20, 2022. The daughter of the late Ross and Lynne (Matthews) Stones, Betty was born on October 9, 1926, in St. Louis, MO. Mrs. McCawley obtained an associate degree and was Self-Employed in Photography. She was the proprietor of Liz' Photography and taught Photography at Lee College in Baytown, Texas. She also was a member of the Civil Air Patrol Auxiliary. Survivors include her children: Janis Smith, Rew Wilson, Dr. Dene Binnie-Ballantine Ph.D., Kymberlie Harris R.N., Robin Mikels, Robert Binnie, David Knollhoff and Daniel Knollhoff. She was the grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and great grandmother to three great grandchildren who also survive. Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Cecil McCawley, as well as her brothers: Alvin Stones, Robert Matthews, and Tom Matthews. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A private service for her family will be held in October.
