Obituary of Linda R. Cary
WATERVLIET –
Linda R. Cary, 74, of Watervliet, entered into rest on August 15, 2022.
The daughter of the late John S. and Martha (Schweigert) Cary. Loving mother of Camille M. Jones, beloved sister of John J. Cary (Clark Burnet), dearest lifelong friend of Linda Dubay-Fiebke. Cherished aunt of: John Caldarelli, Jason Cary, and Sara (Cary) Parker and great aunt to: Hunter and Avery Parker and Joseph Calderelli. Linda had a host of friends.
Warmly remembered, Linda loved to read, watch television, and had many cat companions throughout the years. But what Linda loved most was being with her daughter. She often referred to her daughter as “her gift” and her best friend.
For 30 years, Linda was employed by Albany Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s aide. Following retirement from the hospital, she was a nanny to: Nicholas “Pickle”, Bryce and Madison DePerna, Jacob, Jared “Chippy”, Gabrielle and Joshua Hunter, and Robert, Alana and Maia Delacruz.
She adored them all and felt honored by their parents to care for these children.
Linda was very spiritual and had a close relationship with her Heavenly Father into whose arms she is with now. May the angels welcome her home.
In lieu of flowers, Linda wished that donations be made in her memory to the Humane Society of the United States or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
Interment will be private in the Family Plot.
