Obituary of Regina Mary Orapello

COEYMANS- Regina Mary Orapello, 63, of Coeymans, formerly of Haverstraw, New York, entered into rest on June 10, 2022. The daughter of Bernadette (Lynch) Lennon and the late George Lennon, Regina was born on November 29, 1958, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. She was raised in Pompton Lakes, N.J. and has lived in Haverstraw, N.Y. for 25 years. Regina moved to Coeymans in the final year of her life to be close to her daughter. She received her education from the former Glasboro State (now known as Rowan University in South Jersey) where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Regina was employed as a Purchasing Manager for 20 years at Chem-Aid Laboratories, Inc. in Saddle Brook, N.J., where she formed a few great friends during her time there. She took great pride in her work. Prior to her time at Chem-Aid, she worked at Casper in the same position for around 18 years. Regina was a member of Cornerstone for 8 years. She was a faithful Catholic. When her children were young, she participated in their sports and youth groups, which always kept her busy. Regina always tried her best for her children, as they were her utmost priority. She will be fondly remembered as a great mom and a dear friend. Regina was an animal lover; especially her dogs Dakota and Nike who predeceased her. She also loved spending time with her daughter’s dog Frank. Regina was a fan of both the Jets and the Mets. She loved long phone conversations and will be remembered as being funny and independent. In addition to her mother, Regina is survived by her children, one daughter Megan and one son Mark, her siblings: Eileen, Jimmy and Michael, her aunts: Kathy and Andy and her sister-in-law Nancy, all of whom she remained close with. Besides her father, Regina was predeceased by her brother Bobby. In keeping with her wishes, Regina will be laid to rest privately at the convenience of her family. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Special thanks to the entire family for their care and support, especially her good friend Marva.
