Obituary of Margaret Ann Sevrie

SCHENECTADY- Margaret Ann Sevrie (Haverly) passed away peacefully on April 22, 2022 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Albany, New York, on October 7, 1951, the daughter of Raymond and Sophie (Janssen) Haverly. She graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School. She then attended Hudson Valley Community College, where she obtained an Associate's Degree. She worked as a Motor Vehicle Representative for New York State DMV for 20 Years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and going for long walks. She also volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and Albany Medical Center. Margaret Ann Sevrie is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Haverly and Sophie (Janssen) Haverly, her brother Ronald Haverly, her sister Kathy Bartley, and her long-time companion Robert Hedgeman. She is survived by her sister Valley Rogers, her children Sarah Ashton-Sevrie (Will Robinson), Ray Sevrie (Amee) and grandchildren Anessa Robinson, Alaina Robinson, Keanna Sevrie, Keeva Sevrie, and Aidan Robinson, Delia Saile who was like a sister to her, and many nieces and nephews, friends and family. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Alzheimer's Association or the Unity House Sojourner Place in Troy, NY; The family wishes to thank Capstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
