Obituary of Charles Francis Peer

EAST GREENBUSH- Charles “Charlie” Peer, 95, died peacefully on November 13, 2021 at Cohoes, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty Peer, and two brothers, John and Robert Peer. He is survived by his daughter Barbara Peer, his son-in-law Daniel Wedge, his sister-in-law Barbara Dalrymple, and seven nieces and nephews. Charlie was born and lived most of his life in Rochester, NY. After a short stint in the US Army, he attended Clarkson College (now University) and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent his working life with Eastman Kodak Company. He lived many happy weeks each year at Waneta Lake. Charlie’s friends and family knew him as a carver of graceful wooden birds and other items. He was pleased to spend his last years at Eddy Hawthorne Ridge in East Greenbush, NY. He will be missed by many. Memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s name to Wesley United Methodist Church, 2009 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14615.
