Alex was the best brother anyone could ask for. I'm glad I got to see visit him in his new home when I did. I invited him to a Minecraft server run by one of my friends. We had a lot of fun. Eventually only three of us still played on the server. Alex, another who went by MOLDA, and me.. When Alex passed She was heartbroken. She had been friends with him for a month I think, but they were very close. With her help (she did the details and I got the materials) we built a statue of Alex next to his house to honor him. I miss him every day.

The world needs many more men like Alex—an advocate for inclusion and acceptance for all, honoring our connection to the natural world, and a bright light of love and compassion toward those in his midst. Holding all who knew and loved Alex in my thoughts and meditations at this sad time. May you feel his presence in the green beings that surround and nurture us.

I met Alex initially in elementary school and reconnected when he was a senior at NCCA. I always remember Alex's smiling face and supportive demeanor. I loved Alex so much and he taught me to always love even when things got rough. I miss you so much Alex you don't even understand.

I taught Alex at the Newton College and Career Academy and it was indeed a pleasure to have Alex in my Spanish class! Alex was always very kind, respectful, and caring. Alex was very consistent with turing in exceptional work! I ALWAYS used Alex's work to show the rest of my students how it was supposed to be done! I only have wonderful memories of Alex and I would like to express my sincere condolences to the O'Toole family.

Thank you for your your kindness. Alex taught me more about being a human being, and more about what it means to be a man, than I've ever been able to learn before. He was better than me in every way, like all fathers hope for their sons. I just wish he had time.

While deeply grateful to read that Alex was recently able to reconnect with people who loved him profoundly and embraced his authentic self, I was profoundly shocked and saddened to read of his passing. From everything I've seen and read, he was an extraordinary young man, and I truly regret never getting the chance to meet him in person.
I know there's not much I can do from out here, but I'm happy to offer whatever I can that the family may need.

Alex managed to accomplish something many fully grown adults never do—he broke past the expectations others put upon him and walked his path as himself.
There is no sense to any of this. That such an exceptional person has left this world goes beyond the truest definition of unfair—and all its synonyms.
We are here, and we will never forget your son.
Love, The Kraynaks

We remember having a lovely meal at Alex's grandma's home. We brought Ankers fish fry and Chris and Alex served tea. We talked and laughed. A special day.

I share in your grief and sorrow at the loss of your beautiful son. In the face of this heartbreak, we have the solace of his memory and the knowledge of the deep satisfaction that was his – his joy and victory – at being able to live his authentic life. That self-realization, a state some of us never know at all, was his in his youth. I don't see how any happiness, any self-fulfillment, can be greater than that.--
With love
