Obituary of Helen M. Scensny

WATERFORD- Helen M. (Sajler) Scensny of Waterford, passed away on September 4, 2021, in the comfort of her home after a brief illness. Helen was the daughter of Stella (Rogus) and Frank Sajler and was educated in Watervliet along with her 8 siblings of whom Dorothy Quintal and Fred Sajler survive. She was a dedicated wife and homemaker and went home to be with her husband Mike on the 5th anniversary of his death. Helen was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Michael John Scensny and her son Michael Joseph Scensny. She leaves behind her two daughters, Gail (Claude) Riley and Suzanne Parent, her grandchildren Earl (Carla) McMahon Jr, Todd (Sara) McMahon, Shaun (Kristen) Parent and Michael Scensny Jr . She also leaves great-grandchildren Zachary McMahon, Taylor McMahon, Hanna McMahon, Mathew McMahon, Cameron Parent and Carter Parent and step-grandchildren Ciera and Sean Brady. There will be no calling hours in accordance with Helen’s wishes. A service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be with her husband at the Gerald Solomon Cemetery in Saratoga at a later date.
