I enjoyed Jay as a colleague and a friend. He was very creative and not afraid to make a statement. We had some great adventures together as colleagues developing and expanding new technology. We also had some very good times as friends. He showed me how to enjoy life and work together. I'm sorry to see him go so soon. RIP, Jay!

I was a colleague of "Jay's' in a number of standards working groups of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Jay was a knowledgeable and important contributor to our work. We could always count on Jay to keep the discussion lively and interesting. Most of all Jay injected a sense of humor that we all cherished during our meetings. Jay will be missed. His legacy lives on in the works he helped publish. Soon a new IEEE guide with Jay's name will be added to the list of publications.

To Jay's family: Jay was a good next door neighbor for almost 20 years. My husband and I were sad to learn of his passing, but relieved that he is at peace. I enjoyed our intelligent conversations on a wide variety of topics and his letters to the editor of a local newspaper. Jay will be missed. May he rest in peace. Gail Rosettie

Jay was a remarkable man to everyone he came in contact with. He loved to spend time traveling and experiencing new things. He liked to spend his time doing these things with friends and family. I've added a couple pictures but I have so many more memories that I don't have pictures for. I'm sure we all have our own great memories.
