John was such a kind spirited man. I lost my father 14 years ago and never thought I'd have that sort of bond again, until I met JT. He had so much love in his heart and a sparkle in his eye that made you feel warm and comfortable. He took in my son and I as his own family. John was such a great grandpa and always made sure there were toys for my son to play with and treats for his belly. He was a great listener and never judged. He loved his wife more than she will ever know and always kept fresh flowers at home for her. He loved visits from all of the neighborhood kids and always made sure to have snacks on hand for them, fresh watermelon in the summer, and an ice cream man jar of money for the neighbors who may not have been able to afford it themselves. He loved animals and cared for all forms of life from keeping peanuts for the chipmunks, making sure bird feeders were always full, and always having dog treats on hand for his neighbors pups. He will truly be missed by many and will never be forgotten by all the lives he touched. I love you "gampa John"
