Obituary of Patricia E. Ross

Rotterdam, NY

Patricia “Honey” Ross, 88, at rest Saturday, January 5, 2019. Born in Rotterdam Junction, Patricia was the daughter of the late Robert and Georgianna Dailey French. 

She was a graduate of Woestina High School. She retired from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance after 20 years of service. She was a communicant of St Gabriel’s Church and was a member of the Women’s Club and the Home Bureau. She loved to travel, read, bake, sing and spend time at her camp at Sacandaga Lake. She was a kind and loving person who would always do whatever she could for others. 

She was the beloved wife of Lawrence Ross (deceased) for 60 years; beloved mother of Kathleen (Gary) Riviello of Guilderland, Lawrence Ross (deceased) of Rotterdam, Lisa (Richard) Yingling of Rotterdam; loving grandmother of ten grandchildren: Nicole (Angelo) Perez, Matthew (Julie) Ross, Andrea Riviello, Tanya (Mark) Viveiros, Christopher (Mikaela) Ross, Kahlen Riviello, Shannon Yingling, Allison Ross, Ross Yingling and Jesse Ross. She is also survived by 11 great grand children as well as a large extended family.

Patricia will be missed very much by her family. She will always be remembered by them as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that you could always turn to for help and advice. She was a patient and caring person and loved by all. 

Funeral Thursday morning at 10 o’clock from St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Rotterdam, where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue at Broadway, Schenectady, NY, on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.  Interment in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.  Those who wish may make a contribution in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, on-line at: alz.org.
