Obituary of Jean Russell
Jean Russell, 77, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018 while a resident at St. Mary's Hospice & Palliative Care in Amsterdam, NY. Born in Burlington, VT in 1940, she was a long-time resident of Fulton County, NY.
Jean was a magnet for children and animals, lover of the ocean and the Great Sacandaga Lake, Christmas fanatic, sipper of vodka & tonics, devoted leader of the Tuesday Boat Ladies and former Pounce champion. Those who knew her will miss her infectious smile and unbridled laugh. Many of us will miss her comedic antics.
Jean will be lovingly watching over her children: Steve and Lori Burns, Karen Burns and Deborah and John Watson; grandchildren: Connor Burns, Eric Varin, McKenzie and Cam Oathout, Daniel Varin, Griffin Burns, Adam Varin and Chase Watson; many nieces and nephews, Don Russell, friends and her dog Molly. If you would like to celebrate Jean's life, we will be gathering at Harold's Restaurant, 176 W Fulton St, Gloversville, NY 12078 on Saturday, May 12 between noon and 3:00 PM.
