I am deeply saddened by this news. I worked with Bob at Guiding Light when I was a new Unit Manager in 1992. His influence on me at that critical moment was huge and ripples through today. He taught me how to navigate the day to day mine field of soap opera management and, as is noted in his obituary, how to negotiate. Bob was one of those people that you felt fortunate to know, a true individual whose perspective was always valued. There is no understanding why he was taken from us so soon. I will miss him greatly. My condolences to you and to all who were touched by Bob.
Sincerely,
John Baxley

I do not have the words to describe the sadness I'm feeling at the loss of my life long friend. Bob was more like a brother to me than a just a friend. His memory will always be in my heart. My thoughts and prayers, as well as those of my wife Kelly and son David, go out to Lindsay and Bob's family.

Lindsey -
Hearing of Bob's passing has been a complete shock. My first thoughts were of you and how deeply sorry I am for your loss.
I met Bob at Guiding Light and worked with him for close to 10 years. There is only one word for Bob- he was a mensch. He was good to the core.
Prayers are with you as you mourn his loss. He will be missed on this earth.
Love,
Ilene

I attended Ithaca College while Bob was there. He was an upperclassman while I was a freshman. I will never forget how welcoming he was or how he passed his boundless energy and a zest for living to others. I will always remember his openness and generous spirit towards others and the way he treated a nervous freshman way back when. Peace to you, Bob, and to your family.

The Morahan Family is sending loving prayers to you Lindsay and the whole Eastman family. I am so thankful to have met Bob and they say you become a little part of those you meet on life's journey. I would like to think that is true and hope to carry his way with people in my heart.
There was not a thing about Bob not to like. He made you feel like a longtime friend, and in fact reading his obituary, I found myself many times saying "that is so true!". Then I thought, I only knew Bob a very short time and in reality maybe at less than 10 occasions. He had that way and I am praying the loving thoughts and well wishes, and support only He can provide will carry the Eastman family at this time.
SLA was very blessed to have Bob with us and we are forever grateful for knowing him and being made better by all he gave of himself. We love you Bob and Lindsay- Lisa M.

Bob was a wonderful man and it was a great privilege to serve with him on the Board of the Saratoga Lake Association. His leadership skills and practical perspective combined with his calm personality helped the organization resolve many difficult challenges, most importantly preserving Saratoga Lake for recreational purposes. He generously shared his many talents. Our loss is immense and our hearts go out to the Love of His Live, his wife, Lindsay, at this most challenging of times.
