Obituary of Wanda F. Maddex

WESTERLO Wanda Maddex passed away on February 29, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was 52 years old. She is survived by her sons James Maddex and Howard Bink and daughter-in-law Dee. Her brother Tom Winchip who she lived with until her death. Her grandchildren Dorian, Tristen, Logan and Brennon and Howie’s father Will Bink. She was predeceased by her husband, James Maddex Sr. In addition, Wanda is survived by her brothers Anthony, Texas and Joseph Winchip, North Carolina, and her Mother Allice Garris of North Carolina. She is survived by her loving nephew Private E2 Augustus Winchip and several nieces and nephews. She worked as a sacristan for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception from April 4, 2003 until the time of her death. Wanda had a deep devotion to the Cathedral and was loved by all those who met her. A special thanks to Will Bink, Kimberly Conway, Kurt Schlachter, Community Hospice of Albany County, and her Cathedral family for their friendship and support. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 am. prior to her 11 a.m. funeral mass in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle Street, Albany.
