Obituary of Shirley Ann (Brown) Brunick
Endicott, NY-
Shirley Ann (Brown) Brunick, 71, of Endicott, passed away on October 27, 2015 with her family by her side.
She is survived by husband, James Brunick; sons, David (Carol) Brunick and Jeffery (Jeanette) Brunick; grandchildren, Lindsey, Emily, Joshua, Brandon, Ricardo, Christin (Joseph), and Candayce (Nick); great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Chase; sisters, Mary Nosewicz, Anne Owen and Irene (Frank) Monsipapa; also several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by parents, Stephen and Mary Brown and sister, Julia Rogalavich.
Shirley was employed by the Union-Endicott School District for 30 years. She loved spending time with family and friends, caring for animals of all kinds, visiting farmers markets, tag sales, thrift shops, and church bazaars, cooking, reading, playing Scrabble and enjoying nature. She also volunteered at a local animal shelter for many years and was responsible for countless animal rescues.
“Do not sorrow for me, all the pain and grief is over. I’m safely home in heaven at last. Celebrate! I’ve had you all for family and friends.”
According to Shirley’s wishes there will be no funeral services. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Care Council of Endicott, www.animalcarecouncil.org.
Shirley’s family wishes to thank the staff at Wilson Hospital, Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, Ellis Hospital, and Community Hospice for their assistance and support.
