Obituary of Jason Christopher Poulin

SCHENECTADY –

Jason C. Poulin, 54, formerly of Troy and Grafton NY, passed away suddenly from a heart attack at his home on December 8, 2024.

The son of Patricia (Kennedy) Poulin and the late Wilfred H Poulin, he was raised in Troy until his family moved to Grafton in 1978. Jason loved Grafton, enjoying nature, building a 2 story log cabin fort, canoeing, camping, birding and bonfires.

Jason attended Berlin High School and graduated from HVCC. After graduation he worked as an auto technician for Nemer Volkswagen then Chief for New York State on the Erie Canal and finally an engineering technician at Global Foundries in Malta NY.

He suffered a TBI in 2023 and left him unable to work. He built his own computers and had a wealth of technical knowledge. He was a great conversationalist, and I will miss our long phone calls.

Survivors include his mom, Patricia Poulin, his devoted sisters Mandy Hiebaum and Courtney Poulin, his 2 beautiful nieces: Isabella and Lily Hiebaum of Port Chester NY. And his cat Mango.

He was also predeceased by his dad who died in 2023 and his maternal grandparents Bernard and Irene Kennedy and paternal grandparents Marjorie and John Poulin.

Patricia Poulin and her family would like to thank his home health aide Troy Shepard and especially to his longtime friend from 5th grade Eric Yager, who was such a help in maintaining his home and comfort and help to his sister Mandy.

Jason was cremated and a memorial lunch was held for family and close friends. He will be interred at a later date in Memory Gardens with his maternal grandparents. As a believer he is now at rest with his dad. And will be greatly missed by his family.
