Obituary of Joseph C. Chandi
BRUNSWICK -
Joseph C Chandi, 62, of Brunswick, lost his battle to cancer on Saturday, November 30, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife Shelley. Born on January 24, 1962 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Dominga Rivera.
Joseph was known by many beloved names such as Joey, Hosey, and José. In his younger years he loved to paint and enjoyed nature, especially their many visits to Lake George and a few trips to Cape Cod. He loved his music, dancing and his sister’s cooking and of course, Aunt Cookie’s cooking!
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shelley Putnam-Chandi, his daughters Ganeva Chandi and Salena Chandi. As well as his stepson Jason (Dacia) Putnam and grandson Mason. His sisters Alicia Echandy and Darleen Echandy (Gary). And brother Roselio Peldomo. Along with aunts, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides his mom, José is predeceased by his son Anthony Chandi and stepson Benjamin Putnam.
We would like to thank the hard working staff on the Hospice Unit at St Peter’s Hospital for the care and support they provided and all the friends and family who came to show him their love.
