Obituary of James C. Dromazos
EAST GREENBUSH –
James C. Dromazos, 58, of East Greenbush, passed away on September 24, 2024.
Son of the late Paul C. Dromazos, Sr. and Beverly A. Kichton (Louis Kichton), James was born on August 17, 1966 in Albany, New York. He resided and lived in East Greenbush for the majority of his life.
James received his education from LaSalle Institute, where he graduated, and also from Maria College obtaining his Associates Degree. He also attended Norwich University in Vermont before he graduated from SUNY Albany, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Sociology.
James was an avid sports fan that loved his Oakland A's, the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Islanders. During his youth at LaSalle, he was a member of the Varsity Hockey team, competing in the New York State finals. James also played Division I hockey while studying at Norwich University.
Warmly remembered as a wonderful son, brother, friend and athlete, Jimmy had a wonderful smile and infectious laugh that will be missed.
Survivors include one brother, Paul C. Dromazos, Jr., one sister and brother-in-law, Beth Ann Heck-Perry (Grant B. Perry), one niece and her husband, Ashlee B. Heck (Timothy J. Dinan), one nephew Corey M. Heck and one great nephew Arthur J. Dinan.
In addition to his father, mother and stepfather, James was predeceased by his beloved Boston Terrier Gina.
The Dromazos Family wishes to thank the staff at St. Peter's Hospital and Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their compassion and care.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Private Interment has taken place in Park Cemetery, Scotia.
