Dr. Bloodstein was one of the best professors I ever had. I loved his stuttering course and appreciated his help as a member of my thesis committee. Years later when I returned to Brooklyn College to teach he was my colleague and friend.
My condolences go to his family and dear wife, Annette.

Danny,
I was so sorry to hear about your father. The loss of a parent is not easy but know that you and your family are in my thoughts at this difficult time.

I knew Dr. Bloodstein from Brooklyn College back in the 70's. I took three courses with him, undergraduate and graduate. He was an inspiration to me. He gave me a glowing recommendation when I was applying to doctoral schools. I fondly remember the talks we had, at BC and at NYSSHLA conventions. He had a subtle humor. Ironically, I only learned that he lived in Delmar after I had been living here for 10 years! I tried calling but got no answers. I only wish I was able to talk with him again before his passing. He was a brilliant scholar, an excellent teacher and a gentle, kind-hearted man. He will always be in my thoughts.
