Hey guys... We were sorry to hear about Steve's passing. Steve was one of those salt of the earth guys whose reliability, honesty, and hard work was second to none. I think the quality I respected most about Steve was his ability to have a positive attitude even when he had been delt a tough hand. His jovial attitude and laugh will certainly be missed. I hope all of his good deeds and willingness to help others will get him a few good brownie points on his voyage. Steve, we will miss you man and lots of luck wherever you are

YOU DON’T JUST LOSE SOMEONE ONCE
You lose them over and over,
sometimes in the same day.
When the loss, momentarily forgotten,
creeps up,
and attacks you from behind.
Fresh waves of grief as the realisation hits home,
they are gone.
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every time you open your eyes to a new dawn,
and as you awaken,
so does your memory,
so does the jolting bolt of lightning that rips into your heart,
they are gone.
Again.
Losing someone is a journey,
not a one-off.
There is no end to the loss,
there is only a learned skill on how to stay afloat,
when it washes over.
Be kind to those who are sailing this stormy sea,
they have a journey ahead of them,
and a daily shock to the system each time they realise,
they are gone,
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every day,
for a lifetime.

Hey Steve, I wanted to say Thank You again. You were probably the most Kind Person I’ve ever met. You were full of Love Hope Inspiration and a hell of a Baker. Thanks for all the Cookies. Corn Bread.
When I had cancer you said “Don’t worry you’re going to be fine. “ you were right. Always a Smile. “No Big Deal “.
As Toby wrote “I’m not crying for you. I’m Crying for Me”. You will be missed. I’m grateful for you in my life. Love ya, Debbi (we never ended a conversation phone or in person without Love Ya. My Dear Friend.

Uncle Steve,
Thank you for always being YOU!!! There was nothing fake about you, no airs and what you saw/heard is what you got. For me, you were a father figure & role model, uncle & friend. You showed up in many ways throughout my life. Your quiet strength, easygoing attitude, laughter, compassion, creativity, truth & love are just a glimpse of how I will remember you.
I am so blessed and it has been an honor to learn from, share memories with, to know you & to love you.
I know you will continue to show up as you always have, and I will continue to smile knowing you are near. Thank you for your love! Big hugs, lots of love & peace my sweet uncle!

Met Steve at Wegmans in the cafeteria when I worked there in '93, '94. What a great guy! Happy, smiling and friendly all the time. We had a lot of laughs and fun together. Sincere sympathies to all of his family and friends and to my friend Arlene B. Rest in peace Steve, you'll be sadly missed by all who knew you.

Uncle Steve,
Thank you for being an extraordinary man, uncle, friend & human! I will cherish every moment I have had the privilege of spending with you. As a father figure to me, you surpassed anything I could've wanted. I didn't have to ask, you just showed up and consistently gave me time, energy, compassion & love.
Your quiet strength, humor, creativity (woodworking, cooking/baking and other areas), dedication to family & friends, easygoing, uncomplicated way of looking at things and your steadfast love has been a true blessing. I know you will continue to show up in ways I can't imagine, but will ultimately be a comfort & strength and definitely leave me with a smile (as you have always). Be at peace. I Love You.
