Obituary of France Blanco-Bardia

ALBANY –
 
France Blanco-Bardia, 78, of Albany, formerly of Oyster Bay, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024 in the comfort of her own home.
 
The daughter of the late Alfredo Blanco and Taneo Kaai, France was born on May 17, 1945 in the Bronx.
 
France has resided in New York City, Long Island, New York and Lastly Upstate, New York.
 
She was employed as an Executive Assistant in the New York State Assembly for both Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. and Robert Rodriguez.
 
France was beloved by all that knew her; she was active in her community and her church, and will be warmly remembered as incredibly generous, especially with her unconditional love.
 
Survivors include her children: son Christopher, daughter Cher and goddaughter, Michele.
 
Her Grandchildren: Declan, Quinlan, Beaudrie and Luca.
 
Her nieces and nephews: Amanda, Emily, Connor and Kai.
 
Also survived by one sibling, Momi Kumalae, and one daughter-in-law Karina.
 
In addition to her parents, France was predeceased by her son Thor, her sisters Emma and Nani, as well as her beloved rescue dog, Zen.

Cremation has taken place through Simple Choices, Inc.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11AM until 6PM, at her home. (Please contact the family for her exact address.)
 
Her ashes will be spread at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
