Barbara was a caring and compassionate person. She was a treasured volunteer for the SICM Food Program for well over 20 years when I retired and many more years after that. I was pleased to read that she was recognized for her service as a volunteer. in the helping organizations Well deserved!. I feel fortunate to have worked with her. My deepest condolences to the family. Mrs Markey was a wonderful woman who always treated me like family. She shared many of her recipes with me and to this day every time I make “Mrs. Markey’s baked beans” everyone sharing my table hears about her and the Markey family. Thank you Maggie, Steve, Will and Ann For sharing your wonderful mom!! My life, among many, is better for having known her.
