Obituary of James Edwin VanWagenen
BALLSTON LAKE –
It is with much sadness that I share the news of the passing of James Edwin VanWagenen. He left us on September 29, 2023.
He was 87 years old and leaves behind a brother Edwin VanWagenen and two sons, James A. VanWagenen and Lawrence C. VanWagenen.
He was born and raised in Colonie, NY and raised his two sons in Saratoga Springs.
He drove trucks for Consolidated Freightways and retired as a proud member of the Teamsters Local No. 294.
James was best known for his years of coaching Saratoga Little league.
He was also an avid golfer and loved playing the ponies at the raceways!
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
He will be laid to rest at a later date at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
Jim was well loved and will be dearly missed!
