I was shocked to hear of the passing of my old friend Bruce When reading the Mepham Quarterdeck" today( 8/28/24). Back in High School, Bruce was the very talented lead guitarist in our little band called Evilive We did a number of legendary performances
At two local Elementary Schools , Jacob Gunther and Waltoffer Avenue( now the Dinkllemyer school) we couldn't have pulled this off without Bruce's extremely creative talent who was able to transform 1940 Marx brothers tunes in to 1970s rock n Roll. I always admired him for that. Thank you Bruce for sharing your personality talent with me and many others! You made the band by creating a fun variety show for all the small children in the North Bellmore New York area. May you continue to be the nice, kind , smiling, person I knew in life , and rock those Angels in Heaven!
I'm looking for pictures of our band- please send me an email address to send them
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love to Bruce, his wife, son and Family

I have many fond memories of working with Bruce at Parsons. He was always one of the nicest people I have known. My condolence to Sue (who I also remember well) and the family.

Repeating my Times Union post here, because I get to be first. Bruce was always a very special friend to me. My first-ever gig was playing with Bruce at a wine-and-cheese place (I’m dating myself, but we’re all friends here) called Toad in the Hole on Long Island. I’m pretty sure we were both underage. Playing guitar with Bruce was thrilling. He was my first musical mentor and one of the funniest people I ever knew.
When I would visit him up in Albany, I remember his distinct excitement over courting a new love. I thought: this woman must be special, and, boy, did my sense turn out to be right. (I’m talking about you, Sue.) Eric, I can’t imagine him being any prouder of you, or happier that he got to share his love of music with you. Generous, kind, and so damn quick on the draw with his wit. I’ll miss him. With love, Bob Scheffler
