Obituary of Erin F. Jones

JOHNSONVILLE –

Erin Jones, 62, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at her home in Johnsonville, NY.

Erin was born on March 19, 1961, in Troy, NY to Barbara Collins. 

She worked at the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and retired with over 20 years of service.  On May 21, 2005, Erin married Richard Jones and together they spent the past 18 years raising five children, Chris Collins (Marsaine), Rich Jones (Brenda), Rebecca Jones (Anthony), Anthony Jones and Alexis Casela.  She will be greatly missed by her ten grandchildren, Jack, Ashlyn & Evan Collins, Cooper & Hailey Jones, Lily, Roland, Emma & Anthony Rupp, and Elena Sousie. 

Erin was predeceased by her father, Eugene Collins and is survived by her mother Barbara Collins and brothers, Buzzy Collins & Scott Collins (Peggy).  Erin was also loved by her nieces and nephew, Jessica, Hannah, John, Katie, and Sarah.  She will always be remembered for her love of family and lifelong love of animals.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.

A private memorial for the family will be held at a future date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
