Obituary of Anthony M. Delligan, Jr.

BERNE – Anthony M. Delligan, Jr., 60, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully at the home of his brother on February 24, 2023, under Hospice Care. The son of the late Anthony M. Delligan, Sr. and Mary (McCullough) Delligan, Anthony was born on September 11, 1962, in Albany. He was raised in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo area and attended local schools. Anthony loved his job working for John O’Mara as a garbage truck driver with John O’Mara Rubbish Removal in Colonie. He leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, and their spouses: Bill (Stacy) Delligan, Patty Lilienthal and Tina (Wally) Delligan-Koons. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Anthony is also survived by his long time girlfriend, Louise Earl, who was a big and special part of his life. In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by one sister, Jacki Olejnik, one niece Ashley Sammons and one nephew, Willie Houser. In accordance with his wishes, Anthony was cremated through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. The Delligan Family has chosen to honor Anthony by hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date.
