I am fortunate to have worked with "Thyag" for many years here in the Capital District. We are lucky to have had such a smart person work on our regional planning issues. Thyag was an exceptional person whose skills as a Professional Planner were outstanding. I always enjoyed the robust conversations we had with Thyag providing his insights about Planning and his visions for the future. And his enthusiasm and knowledge was on display within the Department of Geography & Planning at U-Albany. His teaching style, mentoring of students, and financial contributions have had a very positve impact in the Department that continues to this day. My deepest sympathies to his family. May he rest in peace.
