Obituary of Loretta F. (Weiderman) Post

Loretta F. (Weiderman) Post SALEM, NY~ Loretta F. (Weiderman) Post, 67, of Salem, passed peacefully on October 11, 2016 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Gloversville, NY and was raised in Fulton County for most of her life. She graduated in 1967 from Broadalbin Central School. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life. Her interests and hobbies included painting and coloring (with such great attention for detail) she was an excellent cake baker and decorator. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing cards, going camping, travelling, and casino gambling. Above all, she adored her pets that encompassed everything from dogs and birds to horses and pot-bellied pigs. She was predeceased by both of her parents, Evelyn Gifford Stearns and Lester Weiderman, as well as a brother, Wayne Weiderman, Sr. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Richard J. Post of Salem, and four children: Robert Coadney of Ravena, Edward Coadney of Galway, Kristina (James) Lindstead of Cobleskill, and Adam Coadney of Salem. She has five grandchildren; Robert and Zachary Coadney of Gloversville, Tammilyn Coadney of Ellenboro, NC and Spencer and Silas Lindstead of Cobleskill. Survivors also include siblings; Warren Weiderman, Sr. (Dawn Ambridge) of Gloversville, Claudia Weiderman (Ed Murray) of Scotia, Pamela Moniz (Steven Yarinsky) of Saratoga, and Sandye Vaughn (Tommie) of San Diego, CA. Last but not least, she is survived by her best friends: Canines: Pip, Polly, Copper and Emily. A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Rupert Firehouse, 2673 Route 153, West Rupert, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Salem Rescue Squad.
