Obituary of Kitrick A. Bailey

GREEN ISLAND- Kitrick A. Bailey 71, passed quietly on November 9, 2022 after a brief illness. He is the son of the late Donald Bailey Sr. and Constance Bailey (Bazar). Kit is survived by his sister Patricia Iannone and two brothers, Curt (Pam) Bailey and Donald Jr (Malia) Bailey. He had many nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly: Raymond Iannone, Michael Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Andy Iannone, Connor Bailey, Olivia Keeler, Christian Iannone, Alex and Isabella Bailey, and the late Erin Bailey. Kit was born on February 11, 1951. He graduated from Heatly High School in 1969. He was an excellent athlete receiving varsity letters in soccer, basketball and baseball. He even went on to play American Legion baseball. He loved baseball and as a young boy was an avid Yankee fan. As he got older he became a diehard Mets fan. He would watch almost every Mets game all season long. He also was an avid New York Giants fan. You would often see him garbed in either Mets or Giants attire. He was a loving son who became our dear mom’s caretaker when she could no longer take care of herself. He was such a giving person and those that knew him best knew if you needed him he would always be there for you. He was taken from us way too soon. We will miss him dearly. Our family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at Samaritan Hospital for the loving care they gave him while he was there. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
