SCHENECTADY – Shane N. (Ball) Squerciati passed away on July 13,2022. She was born on October 12, 1972, in Hudson, NY. Shane is survived by her parents, Nickales L. Ball and stepmother Michele Ball of Ashley Falls, MA, and mother, Diane Chapin and stepfather Ross Chapin of Zebulon, NC. She is also survived by her son Andrew Prostler of Catskill, NY and was predeceased by her daughter Mary N. Squerciati. Shane is survived by her siblings: brother Patrick Barron of Albany, NY, sister Denise Barron Goff and brother-in-law Gene Goff, sister Rosalyn Ball of West Stockbridge, MA, brother Nick (Butch) Ball of Valatie, and sister-in-law Tanya Ball of Valatie, NY, brother Vincent Ball of Zebulon, NC., brother Jesse Ball of Ashley Falls, MA, sister Sara Ball of Ashley Falls, MA and sister Amanda Ball of Ashley Falls. Many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive. Shane liked people and never met a stranger. She was a loyal NY Jets fan and loved watching the games. She enjoyed all outdoor activities which included camping, hiking, and playing basketball. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shane's memory to your local Women's Shelter or your local Humane Society.
