Obituary of Joshua J. Coadney

GLOVERSVILLE- Mr. Joshua J. Coadney, age 45, of Gloversville, New York, died on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Albany Medical Center. He was born on December 4, 1976 in Gloversville, NY the son of James V. Coadney and Vincenza (Smimmo) Coadney. He grew up in Gloversville and later attended and graduated from Chester High School. He confirmed his belief in Jesus and is now in the arms of his Heavenly Father. He loved fishing, cooking, reading the Bible and John Grisham books, playing pranks on his sister and cousins, and always showed a love for his country and could be seen carrying the American flag around town. Joshua is survived by his loving mother: Vincenza (Vincy) Coadney; his sister Jennifer (Coadney) and husband Derek Baker, niece Sophia Gomez (17) and nephew Diego Gomez (15) in North Carolina, his children: Aden Noyes (14), of Mechanicville, NY., Genavive Stephany Bathrick (12) and Elaina Marie Bathrick (11) of Flint, Michigan. He is also survived by countless cousins in NY, Texas and around the country and many friends. He was predeceased by his father James V. Coadney, grandparents John and Josephine Smimmo (Sr.), Edward and Evelyn Coadney, as well as his uncles Philip Conroy, Pasquale Smimmo, John Smimmo Jr. and his Aunt Kathy Gargiulo. The family will receive relatives and friends at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 97 Bleecker Street, in Gloversville for a celebration of life service provided by the Salvation Army Gloversville Corps with Captain Wendy Senior. Contributions may be made in memory of Joshua to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4889 Belfort Rd, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
