Obituary of Joan B. Davis

ALBANY- Joan Barbara Davis passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Joan was born in Flushing, Queens on August 28,1932 to Ruby Moseley Morris. She attended Franklin K. Lane High School and went on to earn her LPN Nursing Degree. She had a passion for education and as a result earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration and Health Services. She loved her family immensely and loved spending time with them. She always encouraged her family and took time to call and sing to them on their birthdays. Joan had great pride in her family heritage tracing her roots back to St. Michael, Barbados. Predeceased by her parents, sister Gloria J Caldwell and two of her children Sheryl Davis Watson and Paul Jose Morris and one granddaughter Simona Ofori. Her legacy is carried on in the strong and loving families of her seven children. Joan is survived by her five children, Lynn Traynor, Barbara Morris, Edwin Morris, Dorethea Davis, and Carol Howell, 11 grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
