Obituary of Alexander J. Vallee

TROY- Alexander “Al” J. Vallee, 84, of Troy, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on February 18th, 2022. Al is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Mary Rose (Ranucci) Vallee. He was the devoted father of: Debra Lohner Jacobus (predeceased son in-law Robert Jacobus), Michael A. Vallee, Joseph A. Vallee, and Alexander J. Vallee Jr. (Kristen Carenzo). He is also survived by his siblings: Camille Marie Passino (predeceased brother in-law Michael Passino Sr), Leo Vallee (Phred Madsen-Vallee), Carl Vallee, and predeceased by brother John and sister in-law Joanne (Danaher) Vallee. Al was a loving Grandfather to 10 grandchildren: Joshua Vallee, Amanda Lohner, Michael and Christopher Vallee, Jennifer Tayler, Audrey Carter, Amber Vallee, Connor Vallee, Tyler and Alexia Vallee. Al was loving Great Grandfather to 14 great grandchildren: Caleb Vallee, Ava Vallee, (predeceased by Bennett James Vallee), Madylin Vallee, Gavin Vallee, Jackson “Punky” Lohner, Autumn, Melody, Aiden, Marie Vallee, Stanley, Madison, and Kennedy Tayler, Mia Carter, Daniel Vallee as well as several nieces and nephews. Al was son of the late Herbert and Mildred (Scarlata) Vallee, born on September 3,1937 in Troy, NY. He graduated from Troy High School in 1955 where he met his high school sweetheart Mary. On April 27, 1957 Mary and Al were married and started their life journey together. In 1957 Al started his 40-year career at Norton Company in Watervliet, NY. Al retired in 1997 giving him time to pursue his passions of fishing, bowling, and caring for his property. The family has chosen to hold a memorial service at a later date. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alzheimer’s Association online at act.alz.org.
