To Lynn, your mother and your family,
Although I didn’t know him, I wish that I had. He was a true example of a life well- lived and loved. There is no easy time to say, ” goodbye”; but I hope that you find comfort in each other , in your friends and in the memories of such a remarkable man.
With my sympathy and prayers,
Joanne Coffey

I offer my most sincere condolences to John's wife Dorothy and his family. I knew John as a fellow member of The Pundits. I was a relatively new member and John was always there with a welcoming handshake and a great story. He was a friend to all and will be missed greatly.

John was always a great friend of the replica ship Half Moon, helping with everything from historical interpretations to mechanical and wood working repairs, to cannon salutes and public displays, and sailing the ship in historically accurate fashion. He made a real difference setting and keeping high standards in everything we did.
