I’m so sorry to hear of Dr, Curry’s passing. She joined Dr. Greitzer’s practice the same year my oldest son was born. Such a kind and patient doctor. May god bless you and keep you in his loving arms.

My friend, my sister in Christ, Valerie Curry, was a tremendous blessing to our house church.
Week in and week out, Valerie modeled, for us, a life in full pursuit of Christ.
After sending out the e-mail messages and text messages, letting our house church members know about Valerie's passing, I started calling those, in the house church, who are not online and don't have texting service. On those calls, I'm hearing comments like, "She gave me my Bible."
Not only was she a blessing to our house church, she was a blessing to far reaches of the world, going on short term medical missions, as a pediatric physician, to Kyrgyzstan, India, Haiti, and Uganda.
What an impact, she had made in expanding the boundaries of where the love of Jesus is felt.
Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God
If I were asked to point out a person, that I know, that best exemplify these verses, I would point out Valerie.
The Thursday, before the last, Valerie completed her race and our Lord took her home.
There is no doubt in my mind that our Lord welcomed her home with these words from Mathew 25:23
"Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!".

I will always remember Dr. Curry! I remember sitting in the hospital after having my daughter and saying OH MY GOODNESS we didn't pick a pediatrician. I immediately called Chatham Pediatrics and asked if they would take on a new patient. They made me an appointment with Dr. Curry for that week! As soon as I sat down in that room and she walked through the door I felt at ease. Dr. Curry had a way to make you feel so happy! Everytime my daughter grew she would excitingly say "GIRLLLLL LOOK AT YOU! YOU ARE GETTING SO BIG!!" It made my daughter feel so good! I wish nothing but positive thoughts to her family and her co-workers. You truly were a piece of sunshine that lit up the world one child at a time and you will forever be missed.

Dr. Curry was an amazing, kind and capable human being and physician. Dr. Greitzer had been our pediatrician before Dr. Curry joined the practice. I had two little boys in the examining room waiting for Dr. Greitezer. Dr. Curry walked in and sat down. In a rich and mellow voice said to my eldest son, " Come here pudding pie.". Well that was it. We loved her and my boys loved her. She took remarkable care of them and us. We had her over for dinner once and was glad to get to know a little more about her. It is a tragedy that someone so kind and intelligent and young was taken from this world. I send my thanks and well wishes to Dr. Curry's family. We will never, ever forget her.

Valerie was a very sweet, focused person. She was best friends with my cousin, Karyn and we attended Arlington Baptist High School. She always received better grades than me, and I was a A student. Condolences to her family. Heaven has her now.

What a blessing to have such sweet memories of Val. We were college roommates at the University of Maryland. Our friendship deepened as we worshipped together in what was then "Campus Crusade for Christ". She was focused even then and determined to follow her call and dream to be a doctor- specifically a pediatrician. After our undergraduate graduation, Val went on to med school while I got married and she was one of my lovely bridesmaids. We shared many laughs, prayers, experiences together and even when our lives took different paths, we enjoyed a continuous conversation of sisterhood, friendship and love as dear sisters in Christ. I miss her greatly and can't wait to see her again.

I worked with Dr Curry at CMH for many years. I will always remember her smile and laugh. She loved her babies if a baby lost a few ounces she would always say “Feed that Baby” breast feeding or not she wanted her babies plump! May she Rest In Peace and be reunited with her family

She was my friend and my prayer partner. I will miss her laughter and our marathon Sunday phone conversations. Through her I've gained so many other friends. When she moved from Maryland to New York, I use to worry that she was alone but she told me she wasn't alone. Over the years, I've come to see that she wasn't. She was surrounded by many wonderful colleagues and friends. Nothing made her happier than going out for a good meal or a fresh new baby (her words).
Val, I love you forever. ❤

Dr. Curry was my 2 daughters pediatrician. The older daughter she cares for her from pre-school to high school. The younger daughter she cares for her from birth to first year of college when she served with Dr. Greitzer in Chatham and Valatie, NY office. As my daughters get older and needed privacy to discuss their health concerns, Dr. Curry was there like a big sister to the girls. I’m saddened by her lost.

Val was my friend and mentor. She was also my children’s doctor since birth. I could not wait to give her the news of my upcoming pregnancies and tell her she would be getting another baby to doctor. She certainly had a passion for the care of children as I learned so much from her in my own practice. I loved the way she called her kids “puddin pop”.
Her sweet and gentle ways were what I admired most.
I will miss her. The lord has so many children to surround her and bring her forever love. Thank God for the gift of Dr Valerie Curry, she made the world a better place.

Dr Curry was my granddaughters’ pediatrician. She was so well loved by her families in this area because she was so caring snd kind. She called my daughter a couple of times when we were in Florida and had to take then 18 month old granddaughter to the ER. Not many doctors go that extra mile so to speak. Our community was blessed having her among us.
