One of my earliest memories of Joan at Bellevue was a Christmas party in the Mansion. Paul sang songs in French in his beautiful baritone voice reducing the room to silence. Your parents looked so happy dancing together. Joan was not only just a manager.
When our hospital got slammed with patients, she pitched right in working alongside Connie Cass and Rose Morawski. Her soft tone of voice always reduced the tension. My parents lived next door to Yves and Fleurette. There were many parties over there when your extended family would visit from Canada. I like to think that your Mom is now happily dancing again with your Dad.
