Obituary of Donna Marie Iler

DALTON, MASS- Donna M. Iler, 71, of Dalton, MA passed away peacefully on August 31, 2021 at Craneville Place of Dalton where she had resided for the past 14 years. Born in Troy, she was the beloved daughter of the late Marvin and Antoinette (Federico) Iler and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, class of 1969. Donna is survived by sisters Penny (Brad) Ryan of Speigletown, Lori (Bob) Borden of Troy and brothers Ralph (Beverly) Iler of Brunswick and Don (De) Behn of Chatham. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. For many years Donna worked at Marshall Ray in Troy. Donna was an avid sports fan. While attending high school she excelled in softball, basketball and bowling and also bowled in various leagues with her mother for many years after. No matter what season it was Donna could be found in front of the TV if the Giants, Yankees or Lakers were playing. Interment of Donna’s ashes will be near her mother during a private family ceremony in the Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY. The Iler family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Craneville Place of Dalton for the excellent care Donna always received, and recently, for the compassion extended to each of us during our visits. Donna would often speak of how she enjoyed all her friends at Craneville and she was grateful for the special friendships she shared with Laura and Maria. We would also like to say thank you to Hospice of Berkshire County for the guidance and counseling we received over the past month.
