Obituary of Joseph T. Rudd, Jr.

SCOTIA- Joseph T. Rudd, Jr., 80, of Scotia, formerly of East Rockaway, NY, died June 20, 2021 at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Guilderland in Altamont, NY. Born on September 18, 1940 in East Rockaway, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph T. Sr. and Dorothy (Wessel) Rudd. Joseph was raised on Long Island and retired Upstate in 1995, settling in Glenville. He received his education from East Rockaway High School, where he graduated in 1957. Joseph was employed as a United States Postal Carrier and Post Office Employee in East Rockaway. He was proud to participate and run in 3 NYC based marathons. Joseph was an avid NASCAR and New York Mets fan. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Helen (Danielsen) Rudd whom he married on March 27, 1965 in Valley Stream, NY, his daughter Teri (Scott) Eastwood and grandchildren Zachary Rudd and Alex Rudd. Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his son Joseph T. Rudd and two sisters Gloria Manuel and Carole Rhodes. Special Thanks to The Grand Nursing Facility and Ellis Hospital for their care.
