Obituary of Donna A. Beard

SCHENECTADY- Donna A Beard, 56, of Schenectady, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully at her home on May 13, 2021. Born in Brooklyn on June 30, 1964, Donna was the daughter of Andrew Jackson, Jr. and Elizabeth McNair. She was raised and educated in Brooklyn, later moving to Schenectady.Donna was a devoted homemaker. Our mom was great at singing, as well as writing poems and short stories. She loved to cook for her family. She was very fashionable, and she loved to travel. Donna loved to play spades and listen to Chris Brown. She liked going to the movies. She opened her doors to whoever needed her and was a very caring, loving, beautiful soul. Donna was that community mother that wanted the hood to go to church on Sundays. She was very involved in her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. Survivors include her husband, Henry H. Beard, Sr., whom she married on January 5, 1993, in Houston, TX. As well as her children; Shareef A. Jackson (Kristine Jackson), Talesha B. Jackson Latoya E. Jackson, Charmaine A. Beard, Henry H Beard, Jr., Crystal A. Beard. Her cherished grandchildren; Renee Jackson, Tekhi, Terry, Shianna, Terry and Justice Jackson, Keiyarrah Washington, Dejon Dixon, Dontae Boone, Vwx Bishop, Lyniya Jackson, and siblings: Adriel McNair, Ishmael Jackson (Vicky Jackson), Rashad Jackson. Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brothers Andrew Jackson, Bartholomew Jackson.
