Obituary of Roberta A. Carter

ALBANY- Roberta A. Carter, 71, passed away on Friday January 29, 2021 at Albany Medical Center Hospital while battling multiple medical issues and the Covid-19 virus with her family by her side. "Bobbi" was born on September 12, 1949 in Albany, NY to the late James E. and Alice Carter. Bobbi was predeceased by her beloved son James E. Carter II. A graduate of the Maria College School of Nursing, Bobbi worked for many years in the metropolitan NYC area as a Registered Nurse. She later returned to the Capital District to raise her son and resided in Colonie, NY. Most recently, she was the Director of the Homeownership Center at TRIP, Inc. from where she retired. Bobbi is survived by her cousins, Sandra Eggleston, Hon. William A. Carter (Joanne), Spencer Carter (Wanda), Marc Carter (Lauren) and. Cory Carter (Maria). She is also survived by her very special friends, Anne Patnode, Martin Morey, Duncan and Nancy Johnson who were always there for her. A special thanks goes to the staff of the Albany Dialysis Center for their compassionate care. Per Bobbi's wishes, no ceremony will be held at this time.
