My prayers go out to Bobbi's family and I am thankful that she made my life better than she found it. Bobbi helped me purchase my first house and was always my advocate when others were not. With her knowledge of pre-purchase, money management, credit counseling and home ownership for so many people, I never knew she was a nurse by profession. The way she cared for others, helping was part of her vocation. What a beautiful person, who will be deeply missed.

Bobbi Carter was one of the most caring, strong and loving women I have ever had the privilege to know. She invited me into her heart and home when I was young without hesitation. I was introduced to her through her son James, whos caring and heartfelt personality was a genuine reflection of the love she gave to everyone she met. She was a second mother for so many for so long. She was my tough love mother. She was my lift me up mother. She showed a young, nieve girl that sunshine and rainbows are appreciated so much more after a storm, and I am stronger today because of her wisdom. She gave all her efforts to everything, everyday. She touched every person she knew in a personal and supportive way. The world has lost a treasured soul and will never be the same.

I’m at a loss for words. I thought they would come to me, but they have not. I’m so grateful to have had you in my life. You took so many of us under your wing, and always made us feel loved and welcomed. Your spirit will live on in all of us who were blessed to have you in our lives. I will always be thankful to have met you and James and take comfort knowing you are together again. I pray your body sleeps in peace, and your souls soars with the angels.

The moment that we all met rest assured we all connected as family. Times at karaoke to times of buffet visits to backyard cookouts. The meaningful ways to know what family is about. You had the chance to meet Austin and he will always know who you James and Alice are to us. Your no longer in pain but you are in happiness. You are with James and Alice watch for us above. We love you!

Bobbi's family on her mother's side mourn her loss as well. They include her cousin B.R.Harris, MD and her children Verne Wesly and Dawn Alison Harris. There were many childhood memories spent in Albany, NY, Jacksonville, FL and in the Bronx. Bobbi and Brenda were only a few months apart in age and raised as sisters in early childhood. Drifting apart due to life's circumstances but only a phone call or quick visit apart would occur as if no time had ever passed. It was our privilege to have known her for her generosity, loving and quirky sense of humor. She will be sorely missed.
