Obituary of Raychel K. C. Weigartz
Guilderland, NY
Raychel K. C. Weigartz, 40, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 13, 2020 at Albany Medical Center, from complication due to an aneurysm.
She is survived by her son, Carter William Elwood, fiance, Raymond Scott Elwood, brother Bill Schweikart, her mother Linda Weigartz, grandparents, Ted and Phyllis Schweikart as well as many amazing aunts, uncles, cousins, and a niece and nephew, she adored.
Raychel was a great mother, partner, and best friend to many. She achieved so much even as she was taken from us in a blink of an eye and way too soon, she still had so much to offer the world.
She was always willing and trying to help others, all the while being the best mom to her son Carter, and life-partner to, Raymond. Anyone who knew her, knew that she was funny, witty, so smart and could be curt as well when she needed to be.
She was a graduate of SUNY Albany with a Bachelor’s in Human Services and an Associate in Psychology. An accomplishment we all were so proud of her for completing, as was she. She was an advocate for woman and families in need and had many life experiences to draw from which allowed for her very old soul to connect with people in need so very easily.
She loved time spent with all her family and friends, near and far. She was always the life of the party, she loved dancing and singing. She enjoyed traveling on vacations with her family or hosting loved ones at her home, where she enjoyed cooking just about any type of dish you could imagine. She will be missed dearly by so many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Boniface Episcopal Church, 5148 Western Avenue, Guilderland, NY 12084 on Saturday, August 22 at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A period of visitation will be observed immediately following the service from 1-3pm.
