Obituary of Damian L. Albohn

Albany, NY Damian Lawrence Albohn, of Albany NY, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. He was born in Nyack, NY on December 19th, 1974 to Lawrence and Genevieve (nee Biller). He grew up in Nanuet and was an avid athlete in high school, playing football and lacrosse. Throughout the years Damian was employed by the NYS Thruway Authority, painting the Tappan Zee Bridge, and then moved on to Metro North Railroad. Most recently he was a member of the Albany Painters Union, Local 201, and employed with Kasselman Electric. Damian was an avid sports fan and loved the Yankees and the Giants. He enjoyed fishing, camping and meticulously landscaping his yard. He liked country music, especially Johnny Cash and Jerry Jeff Walker. He enjoyed cooking and had a flair for BBQ. Damian had an affinity for Volkswagens, a love he got from his Mother. He was also proud of his Irish heritage. Damian could be very jovial and silly at times, which is what his family hopes he is remembered for most. He is survived by his daughter, Grace, his son, Jack, his brother, Justin, and sister, Jaime.
