Obituary of Audrey H. Torre

Audrey H Torre, 70, of Ganesvoort NY passed away peacefully on Friday March 27, 2020, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Audrey is survived by her loving wife of 31 years, Lorraine Glenn. Her daughters Patricia (Torre) Ferguson, Carmelina (Torre) Coon, son Michael Torre, sister Ella Blade, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her extended family at Pop’s Lake Campground. She is predeceased by Stepfather Frank Stegal, Mother Marie Stegal, Brother Louis LaFlash and Sister Lorena Montgomery. Audrey is a graduate of Niskayuna High School. She worked at Bellevue Hospital, and later retired from Farm Family Insurance Company. Audrey always enjoyed a good prank and laugh. Audrey and Lorrie enjoyed several years of seasonal camping at Pop’s Lake Campground, where weekends spent with the other seasonal campers often led to plans of special events that thrilled all the tent campers that got to enjoy Christmas in July parades, early Halloween Parties (complete with decorations and trick or treating for the kids!), and a Renaissance Day complete with a parade and feast of huge turkey legs that followed. A memorial service will be held at Pop’s Lake Campground, 518 Centerline Rd, Galway NY 12074 (518.883.8678) on Saturday August 1, 2020 during the hours of 3pm to 9pm. Please join us for this celebration of Audrey’s life. Subject to change due to Coronavirus. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or Hospice. We would like to extend our greatest thanks to all of Audrey’s caregivers and especially to Hospice, who were ever so kind to her.
