Obituary of Doris B. McCasland
Doris B. McCasland died peacefully on Wednesday September 18, 2019 at 92 years old. She was born February 6, 1927 in Manchester, New Hampshire to George and Lucy (Auger) Beauchemin. She moved to NY and raised her children in Schenectady and Menands. She moved to FL in the 1970’s and eventually return to NY to retire.
She is survived by her five children: Paula (Richard) Masterpolo of Saratoga Springs, NY, Merritt McCasland Jr. of Florida, Sharon (Robert) Beebe of Ronkonkama, NY, Timothy (Carolyn) McCasland of Florida, and Brian (Cathy) McCasland of Sanford, FL. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Michelle Hartman of Merritt Island, FL. Also surviving her are her sisters Lorraine Barney and Theresa Woodbury, and brother Roland (wife Peggy) Beauchemin, all of NH. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert, Roger, Bruno, and Richard Beauchemin. She has fourteen grandchildren: Richard Masterpolo, Lisa Thorsey, Laurie Willson, Merritt McCasland, Michael McCasland, Jennifer Daly, Meredith Meurs, Wendy Fischer, Cindy Vanglad, Timothy McCasland, Jason McCasland, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services. Donations may be made in her name to Hospice, as the volunteers and nurses helped with comfort care during her last few months.
